Wiri Wiri Hot Pepper Seeds
The Wiri Wiri pepper (Capsicum frutescens) is native to Guyana. This ornamental plant bears Green pods that ripen to hold hues of Purple - turned - Orange before maturing to Red. Most would describe the shape as a mini cherry tomato, or better yet mini Red cherries when ripe!
In ideal conditions, you will have Red Wiri Wiris after 90 days of planting.
Although quite small, these peppers are packed with flavor and heat! Wiri Wiri tastes a bit earthy with a tomato tone. Ive learned that natively, Wiri Wiri is used for Guyanese Pepperpot. There is no limit as it’s also popoular in stews, BBQ Sauces, hot sauces, soups, and raw (in salads). When it comes to heat - Wiri can warrant up to 350,000 SHU. Wiri Wiri is common to the Caribbean and Brazil.
